Beauly is 4 miles away, a charming village, with a good range of shops, restaurants, hotels, pubs and a Craft Centre.
Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, with excellent communications by road, rail or air, lies 15 miles to the east, an easy 20 minutes drive and has plenty to offer for your enjoyment.
Recreational Facilities abound in this area: golf with over ten courses within a radius of 45 minutes drive, including championship courses such as Dornoch and Nairn; fishing in the rivers or hill lochs; bird watching; cycling; pony trekking; mountaineering; hill and forest walks. In the winter, the Cairngorms and Nevis Range are an hours drive away for a day's skiing.
Peace and quiet, however, for many is the biggest attraction; just to relax in the peaceful setting of the Lodges, where you may be visited by rabbits or greedy chaffinches. There are plenty of delightful walks right on the doorstep, where you may come across deer, pine martens, red kites and buzzards, amongst the abundant wildlife.
DIRECTIONS
