Clynelish Distillery was built in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford. A new
Clynelish was built alongside the original in 1967 tripling the output. All year round, our friendly and knowledgeable guides are pleased to welcome you to take you on a tour where you will learn some of the secrets of the ancient craft of distilling.

The Glenmorangie Distillery lies on the A9 half a mile north of Tain,
overlooking the shores of the Dornoch Firth. Visitor centre and gift shop with regular tours from 10.30 to 3.30. Pre-booking advisable.

Historylinks tells the story of Dornoch from pre-history until today. Open from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Saturday, from Easter until October annually. Entry fee £2.50, usual concessionary rates.

Former Town Jail has been transformed into a retail shop with tartan weaving
on the premises and the former jail cells for an exhibition of prison life in
