An interactive tour of the Scottish Highlands' top historic town using QuickTime VR and Java immersive images.

This web site has been developed through 'Generations in Stone' - a project of Cromarty Courthouse Museum, funded by LEADER II, SCRAN and The Highland Council.

Enter low resolution JAVA version

A complete tour of the town using small, fast loading Java VR images of only 50k each or less.

Enter high resolution version

A more intimate tour of the old Fishertown area of the town using higher resolution QuickTime VR images of between 100k and 240k each. Some images include directional sound.

Visit the new Cromarty Image Library, where you can view photographs of Cromarty from the 19th Century to the present day, and leave comments about people and places that you recognise.
