This is the start of the 'Fishertown' area of Cromarty. The majority of buildings are small 'fisher folk' cottages or large merchants homes from the 18th century. Cromarty Fishertown is one of the best preserved and most attractive in the whole of the highlands, yet is still a lively 'lived-in' community.
