Shore Street and Fishertown

In the days when there were no building regulations, the fisher folk of Cromarty built their cottages to best resist the prevailing winter winds and salty spray from the Cromarty Firth. This has left us the charming legacy of a jumble of cottages and houses built along narrow lanes, and oriented in eccentric directions.
