The Paye and Gaelic Chapel

Cromarty is over 700 years old, and the Paye is perhaps its oldest road. It leads to the 'King's Ferry' used by James IV several times between 1493 and 1513. A ferry still uses this crossing today. The Gaelic Chapel through the gateway was built by Georg Ross in the 1760s.
