Strathisla Distillery also happens to be the oldest in the Highlands, dating back to 1786. Much of the distillery has remained unchanged for generations, from the cobbled courtyard to the picturesque double pagodas.
The Scottish Tartans Museum in the Town Institute’s Hall on Mid Street has more than 700 tartans on display and a full Highland outfit once worn by John Brown, Queen Victoria’s faithful servant.
Every August, the town is crowded with farming folk and fun-seekers attending the Keith Country Show. See the best of local livestock at this great agricultural event, as well as crafts, food tastings, displays and competitions.
