Eathie Beach - Feb 2007

Eathie is on the east side of the Black Isle, north of Inverness. It's famous as a source of fossils from where Hugh Miller, the Cromarty stonemason and geologist developed his theories.

Alasdair says "I took it from the shore at Eathie on a day full of atmosphere. There was a heavy swell rolling in from the Moray Firth, and a shower was falling from a thundery black cloud over Balintore, although it did stay dry at Eathie."

"The original colour version looked strange in that atmosphere; it had a green hue. I converted it it to B&W and I felt it conveyed the mood much better."
