Calico UK were recently asked to be the subject of a short film to go on the 4Talent part of the Channel 4 website. Obviously we jumped at the chance! The video relates to the management team's experiences in relation to the company buyout around 3 years ago. Why not have a look and put faces to the names!

To see the feature and watch us in the video visit the following website *: http://www.channel4.com/4talent/feature.jsp?id=5306

Over recent months we have made improvements to our antispam servers in our continued efforts to cut down the amount of spam we receive. The main change was the introduction of a number of techniques aimed at stopping mail from "zombie" PCs, ie PCs that have been infiltrated by Trojan viruses for the purpose of taking them over and using them to send out spam messages. Other features available include being able to receive the anti-spam digest more than once a day, and being able to roll the digests for several mail accounts into a single digest each day. If you'd like to take advantage of either of these features, please contact our help desk.

* * Website tip - spam from email forms * *
Do you ever find that the form on your website seems to be generating junk emails for you? This can be caused by spammers using computerised systems to try and abuse form to email pages on websites. The easiest way to get around this is to develop a human check in your email form, an example of this being Captcha.

The form field produces an image with a word or random set of characters that the user has to enter as part of the process. This then proves that it's a real person entering information and allows the form to submit. Any attempts via robotic means are therefore invalid and don't submit.
