| SUPPORTING good causes comes naturally to
the women at Calico UK, the Cromarty-based internet service provider.
|
| After all, most of their working days are
spent supporting customers on their helpdesk.
|
| On Sunday, all 3 of the company's female
directors (Kirsty Pryer, Karen Mackay and Lisa Mackay) will be taking part in
the Race For Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
|
| “Race For Life is such a worthy cause, it
was an obvious choice for us to want to support the fund-raising effort”,
states managing director Kirsty. “Especially as this event has such a strong
focus on women, and we are a female-dominated company."
|
| “The preparation for the race has also
meant that the team are getting up from behind their desks to get fit and
healthy. We all feel it’s important to get plenty of exercise as we spend a lot
of our time seated at work. Plus being more active makes us look and feel
better. So we improve the charity's finances and at the same time improve our
health. It's a Race where everyone wins!”
