Over recent months customers have reported to us that their broadband providers block access to outgoing mail servers other than their own . These restrictions can be frustrating and mean that you have to route your outgoing mail via the broadband provider’s server.
There is a way for you to bypass these mechanisms – by routing your mail through us using different port settings. Any of our helpdesk team would be happy to talk you through this if you’d like to update your settings – just call us on 01381 600580 or email support@cali.co.uk for more details.
We’d also like to make it clear that we do not place any similar restrictions on our own broadband services – we leave the choice to you rather than imposing a preferred method. We won’t say who any of the restrictive broadband suppliers are, as naming names is something we don’t ‘Wanadoo’!
